The Best MTProto Proxy for Forex and Prop Firm Traders.

Forex traders operate globally. You trade from offices, hotels, co-working spaces, and countries with varying Telegram access policies. You need an MTProto proxy that works from anywhere — not one that works until it doesn't.

The criteria for a trading-grade proxy are different from a casual proxy. Security, dedicated infrastructure, uptime under load, and proximity to Telegram data centres. This is the evaluation framework.

This is the framework. Apply it to any proxy you evaluate — including this one.

Quick answer

The five criteria that matter for trading

FakeTLS (secret starts with ee), dedicated infrastructure (not shared with hundreds of unknown users), tuned TCP keepalive (under 120 seconds), server proximity to the Telegram DC your account routes through, and operational reliability under news event load. Most free proxies fail at least three of these. That is why they work fine for casual use but fail exactly when you need them.

For prop firm traders: an unreliable signal path is not just a missed trade. It is a challenge failure that costs $100–$500 in reset fees. The infrastructure that handles your signal delivery deserves the same evaluation you apply to your broker and your EA.

MTProto is included on Standard ($15/mo) and Pro ($25/mo). SOCKS5 is on all plans including Starter. See plans.

Chapter 01

Why forex traders need different criteria than casual Telegram users.

Most Telegram users need a proxy for one of two reasons: either Telegram is blocked in their country, or they want to maintain access during travel. For these use cases, the criteria are simple: does it connect, and is it free?

Forex traders using Telegram signal rooms have a different set of requirements. The proxy is not an access workaround — Telegram works without it. The proxy is infrastructure for a specific latency problem: ISP DPI classifies Telegram traffic and throttles it during exactly the periods of highest trading activity. The delay costs entries. For prop firm challengers, missed entries cost resets.

The difference in requirements produces completely different evaluation criteria.

Casual user needs
Can I connect?

Free proxy from a list, any server, connect once. Works until it doesn't. When it fails, find another one.

Trader needs
Consistent sub-second delivery during news events

Reliable under load. FakeTLS active. Keepalive tuned. Resilient on mobile. Same infrastructure as the trading terminal.

A proxy that passes the casual user test can fail every trader criterion. This is not a criticism of the proxy builders — they solved a different problem. It is a reason to evaluate specifically for the use case you have, not the use case the proxy was built for.

"The price moved before your finger hit the button. That gap is not a reflex problem. It is an infrastructure problem. And infrastructure can be evaluated."
Chapter 02

FakeTLS: the non-negotiable.

FakeTLS is the feature that solves the ISP throttling problem. Without it, an MTProto proxy connects your Telegram through a third-party server, but the connection fingerprint is still recognisable as Telegram by the DPI classifier. The classifier still puts the traffic in the lower-priority queue. The throttle is still there.

FakeTLS changes the connection fingerprint to match TLS 1.3 HTTPS. The classifier sees HTTPS and does not throttle it. This is the mechanism that removes the delivery delay during news events.

How to check if a proxy has FakeTLS: The proxy's secret string determines this. In Telegram's MTProto proxy specification, a secret starting with dd indicates obfuscation without FakeTLS. A secret starting with ee indicates FakeTLS mode. Any proxy that provides a working MTProto connection must give you a secret. Check what that secret starts with.

Proxies listed in community channels are often not FakeTLS-enabled. They work for access purposes but do not solve the throttle problem. If solving signal delivery delay is your goal, FakeTLS is not optional — it is the mechanism.

TradersProxy MTProto secrets start with ee. This is visible in your portal dashboard and in the tg:// link provided.

Chapter 03

Uptime under news event load: the test that actually matters.

A proxy that works on a Tuesday afternoon at 14:00 EST is not the same as a proxy that works at 08:30 EST on the first Friday of the month during NFP.

NFP creates a concentrated spike of traffic from traders simultaneously. Free proxies hosted on shared servers absorb that spike the same way your ISP's lower-priority queue absorbs it — by slowing down. The mechanism that caused the throttle problem at the ISP layer repeats at the proxy server layer if the server is under-provisioned.

There is no reliable way to test this without running the proxy through several live news events. The practical test:

  1. Connect to the proxy at least 30 minutes before a scheduled news event (NFP, FOMC, CPI).
  2. Note the ping time in Telegram's proxy settings.
  3. Watch the ping time during the release minute.
  4. Note the timestamp gap between when signals arrive in your room and when notifications appear on your device.

A well-provisioned proxy should show stable ping through the event. A shared or under-provisioned proxy will show ping spikes at exactly the moments of heaviest load.

Free proxies are typically on commodity VPS instances shared among many users with no traffic prioritization and no operational monitoring. When the server saturates — which happens during news events — all users on that server experience degraded performance simultaneously.

Chapter 04

Server geography and Telegram DC proximity.

Telegram routes your account to a data centre based on your phone number's region. The proxy server relays your connection to that DC. The physical distance between the proxy server and the Telegram DC is part of the end-to-end latency.

Telegram operates five data centre clusters:

  • DC1 Netherlands (Amsterdam region) European accounts
  • DC2 USA — Miami, Florida US / Americas accounts
  • DC3 Netherlands (Amsterdam region) European accounts
  • DC4 USA — Miami, Florida US accounts
  • DC5 Singapore Asia-Pacific accounts

Telegram DC locations as of April 2026. Your account connects to one based on your number's region.

For a proxy to minimise latency, the proxy server should be geographically close to the Telegram DC your account uses. A proxy server in Amsterdam benefits European traders connecting to DC1 or DC3. A proxy server in the US benefits traders on DC2 or DC4.

The proxy does not need to be in the same building as the DC — the DC-to-proxy leg is a short, low-latency connection inside a major transit network in the same region. The user-to-proxy leg is the dominant variable.

What geography cannot fix: the distance between you and the proxy server. If you are in Southeast Asia and the proxy is in Europe, the user-to-proxy leg is long regardless of DC proximity. For most traders, a proxy in the same region as their Telegram DC — and close to them geographically — gives the best end-to-end latency.

Chapter 05

Dedicated vs shared: the prop firm trader's calculation.

Shared proxies pool users together on the same server, often the same IP address. Dedicated proxies give each user (or account) their own connection path with separate resource allocation.

For casual users, shared is fine. For traders, the calculation is different.

Resource contention on shared proxies. During NFP, every trader on the same shared proxy is receiving signals simultaneously. The server processes all of those connections at once. If the server is over-subscribed, the queue builds up — recreating the same throttle problem at the proxy layer that the proxy was supposed to solve at the ISP layer.

IP reputation on shared proxies. Shared proxies cycle hundreds of users through the same IP address. If any user on that pool triggers an IP reputation flag — abuse reporting, DDoS attribution, spam classification — the IP gets flagged. Your connection now comes from a flagged IP. Some Telegram DCs apply connection-level throttling to flagged IPs.

The prop firm calculation. A prop firm challenge costs money to enter. The reset fee when a challenge fails ranges from $100 to $500 or more depending on the account size. One missed NFP entry from proxy congestion — in a session where the trade setup was correct — represents a potential challenge failure that costs multiples of a month's proxy subscription.

The question is not whether dedicated infrastructure costs more than shared. It does. The question is what the cost of a challenge reset is, and whether the reliability difference justifies the price difference. For most active prop firm traders, the math is obvious.

Chapter 06

The mobile trader's checklist.

Mobile trading has its own failure modes that proxy selection needs to account for. The signal arrives on Telegram mobile. You switch to the terminal app on the same device. You place the trade. Each app switch has a cost.

TCP keepalive. When Telegram backgrounds, the TCP connection to the proxy may be dropped by the NAT table on your router or mobile carrier within a few minutes. When you bring Telegram back to the foreground, it needs to reconnect — and the reconnect takes 3–8 seconds on a cold connection. A proxy with a short keepalive interval (under 120 seconds, ideally 60) keeps the NAT entry alive. Telegram resumes in milliseconds rather than reconnecting from scratch.

The Linux default TCP keepalive is 7200 seconds — two hours. A proxy running without keepalive tuning will use this default or similar. After 2 minutes of Telegram backgrounded, the NAT entry on many mobile routers has expired and the session is effectively dead. That is the connection that needs to be rebuilt when the next NFP signal fires.

Background app policy. Aggressive battery optimisation on Android and some iOS configurations can freeze Telegram's network activity when backgrounded. The proxy can maintain its end of the keepalive, but if the OS prevents Telegram from responding, the connection still dies. Add Telegram to your device's battery optimisation exemption list for consistent background delivery.

Reconnect resilience. When a mobile device switches from Wi-Fi to cellular or reconnects after a brief signal drop, the proxy session should reconnect quickly. A well-implemented server handles the reconnect without requiring a full session teardown and re-establishment.

Chapter 07

How TradersProxy compares on each criterion.

Applying the framework above to TradersProxy directly. These are the specific implementation details, not marketing claims.

Criterion Detail Status
FakeTLS Obfuscated2 + FakeTLS. Secret starts with ee. TLS 1.3 fingerprint. Included
Infrastructure Go server. Dedicated per-user credentials. Not shared pool. Dedicated
TCP keepalive 60-second keepalive. Linux default (7200s) overridden at the server level. 60s tuned
Same node as SOCKS5 MTProto and SOCKS5 relay on the same physical node. Shared keepalive and congestion tuning. Same node
DC proximity Node locations selected for proximity to Telegram DC locations. Check portal for your node's region. Optimised
Free proxies (comparison) Shared among hundreds–thousands. No keepalive tuning. No FakeTLS guarantee. No monitoring. Not for trading

The Go implementation is relevant to performance. Go's concurrency model handles high connection counts with low per-connection overhead. During news event spikes, the server does not degrade linearly with connection count the way single-threaded or thread-per-connection architectures do.

The per-user credential system means your proxy session is not shared with other users. Another user's traffic pattern — even a heavy user — does not compete with your connection's resource allocation.

Chapter 08

Getting started: plans, setup, what to expect.

Plans. MTProto is included on Standard ($15/mo) and Pro ($25/mo). SOCKS5 is on all plans including Starter ($9/mo with 7-day free trial). The Starter trial gives you SOCKS5 only — you can evaluate the infrastructure quality on the terminal side before adding MTProto. See full plan comparison.

Setup. Sign in to your portal at portal.tradersproxy.com. Your MTProto credentials are in the Telegram section of the dashboard. Copy the tg:// link. Open it in Telegram. Tap Enable. That is the complete setup — 60 seconds.

What to expect. The proxy connects immediately after you tap Enable. In Telegram Settings ? Privacy and Security ? Proxy, you will see a green connected indicator and a ping time. The first noticeable difference comes during the next news event — signal notifications arriving during the event window rather than after the move. The timestamp test (comparing message timestamp to notification time) is the cleanest way to verify improvement.

If you are a prop firm trader. Set up both MTProto in Telegram and SOCKS5 in your terminal before your challenge starts. Both on the same node. Both configured to stay connected through app switches. Test both connections under load during a non-challenge session to confirm the setup before it matters. Missing an entry during a challenge window is not the moment to discover your proxy was not configured correctly.

The infrastructure is the infrastructure. The signals are someone else's job. Your network path between signal and fill is yours. Manage it.

Questions

Eight things worth knowing.

Five criteria: FakeTLS enabled (for DPI bypass), dedicated infrastructure (not shared with hundreds of other users), tuned TCP keepalive (to survive app backgrounding on mobile), server proximity to the Telegram DC your account connects to, and operational reliability under news event load. Most free proxies fail at least three of these.

In Telegram, after connecting to the proxy, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Proxy. Look at the secret you entered. If it starts with 'ee', the proxy is configured for FakeTLS mode. A secret that does not start with 'ee' is standard obfuscation without TLS masking — it may bypass some throttling but not all DPI classifiers.

Yes. MTProto handles only Telegram. If your priority is signal delivery and you are not concerned about your trading terminal connection, MTProto alone addresses the signal latency problem. SOCKS5 handles the terminal-to-broker path separately. They are independent and neither requires the other.

On shared proxies, hundreds or thousands of users route through the same server and IP address. During high-traffic events, they compete for the same resources. Dedicated per-user means your proxy credentials are unique to your account — the proxy server does not share your session with other users. Your resource allocation does not fluctuate with other users' activity.

The Starter plan ($9/mo) includes a 7-day free trial. However, Starter does not include MTProto. MTProto is available on Standard ($15/mo) and Pro ($25/mo), which do not include a free trial. Standard and Pro billing starts on signup and can be cancelled any time from the portal.

Device limits vary by plan. Standard permits a fixed number of concurrent MTProto connections; Pro allows more. Check the portal for current plan device allocations. If you run Telegram on both phone and desktop simultaneously, verify your plan's concurrent connection limit before signup.

No. MTProto proxy works from any country where Telegram is accessible. The proxy server relays your connection to Telegram's data centres. The FakeTLS masking helps bypass DPI-based throttling regardless of country. If Telegram is hard-blocked at the national level in your country, results are more variable — contact support.

Standard and Pro plans can be cancelled any time from the portal. There are no refunds on paid plans, but there is no lock-in. If you want to evaluate before committing, start with Starter (7-day trial, SOCKS5 only) to test the infrastructure quality, then upgrade to add MTProto.
