Your trade is 200 bytes. It deserves its own lane.
Right now, your MT4/MT5 order shares an internet pipe with your browser, music, system updates, and everything else on your PC. Every trade fights for space. A SOCKS5 proxy gives your trading app its own private lane, isolated from the noise. Four fields, no software, 60 seconds to connect.
Starter plan: 7-day free trial. If your fills aren’t noticeably cleaner, cancel from the portal.
Your trade is fighting your streaming. Here’s why that costs you money.
Think of your internet connection as a single-lane road. Every app on your PC shares it. Your 200-byte MT5 execution order sits in the same queue as a big chart download, a music stream, and a system update. The broker’s matching engine fills whoever arrives first. If your packet is late, you get filled at a worse price. That’s slippage, and it adds up.
SOCKS5 is the fix. It’s a proxy protocol that routes only your trading app through a clean, private lane. Your browser stays on your normal connection. Downloads don’t spike your jitter mid-trade. It’s not a VPN — VPNs tunnel everything and can make it worse. SOCKS5 isolates the one app that matters.
A private lane for your order
Only the trading terminal rides the proxy. Browser, streaming, and updates never touch it.
No encryption tax
MT4/MT5 already encrypt your orders. SOCKS5 doesn’t add a second layer like a VPN does.

Standard web proxies can’t carry your trades.
Most “proxy for trading” results sell HTTP proxies built for web scraping. Your terminal doesn’t speak HTTP — MT4 and MT5 send raw binary TCP: order payloads, heartbeats, price feeds. An HTTP proxy can’t carry that. SOCKS5 relays any TCP or UDP data byte-for-byte, which is exactly what a trading connection needs.
HTTP proxy — web only
Built for scraping and browsing. Silently fails or corrupts trading data.
SOCKS5 proxy — all TCP/UDP
Relays any TCP/UDP without inspecting it. It just delivers it fast.
Most “proxy for traders” services are the same cheap server with a different logo.
The recipe every cheap provider follows: rent a low-cost VPS, install free open-source software, load hundreds of users onto it, and resell access. That’s not a trading proxy — it’s a web-scraping relay with a “for traders” landing page. Here’s what you actually get:
- No traffic classification. Your 200-byte order gets the same priority as another user’s chart refresh.
- Hundreds of users per server. They sell “unlimited” because another user costs them nothing — until peak hours.
- No quality monitoring. Nobody measures jitter or queue depth. Quality degrades silently.
- Generic relay chains. Your order bounces through infrastructure built for scraping, not for reaching a matching engine.
What we built instead
Custom Go engine. Written from scratch — a purpose-built proxy engine.
Direct connection to your broker. One hop, no relay chain.
Broker traffic gets priority. Execution packets classified and prioritised in real time.
50 accounts per server. When it fills, we provision a new one.
Real-time admission control. Every server watches jitter, CPU, and queue depth. If quality dips, it stops accepting new users.
A fast speed test can still hide inconsistent delivery.
Without a trading proxy
The speed test looks perfect, but delivery is uneven — one order lands quickly, the next lags. That jitter is the gap between the price you clicked and the price you got.
Through a dedicated SOCKS5 lane
Steady arrival times. Less bandwidth, more consistency — and consistency is what fills you at the price on your screen. Why jitter matters more than speed →
Estimate your hidden slippage
Adjust the sliders to match your trading. This estimates how much inconsistent delivery could cost each month, and how much a stable lane might save. A directional estimate, not a guarantee.
Estimates use a standard EURUSD pip value (~$10/pip per 1.0 lot). Actual slippage varies by broker, pair, spread, and market conditions.

Every major trading platform has a SOCKS5 proxy field built in. Four fields, one restart, and you’re on a cleaner route.
He added a proxy. His fills got worse. Here’s why.
A scalper — call him Mark — kept seeing slippage on fast entries at the London open. He found a proxy service and bought a subscription the same day.
He set it as a system-wide proxy in Windows network settings, then opened MT5, his browser, music, chat, and a Telegram signals channel — all feeding through the same proxy connection.
His fills got worse. A trade during news slipped badly, and he noticed a visible lag on his charts. He blamed the proxy, cancelled, and left a one-star review.
But the proxy wasn’t the problem. He was routing his entire PC through it — not just MT5. His 200-byte order was queuing behind a music stream, a chat connection, browser tabs, and a background download. The proxy was delivering packets — just not his first.
A VPN does this by design — it tunnels everything. SOCKS5 is different: you set it inside MT5’s proxy settings, so only MT5 uses it and everything else stays out of the way.
Mark re-subscribed, set the proxy inside MT5 only, and his slippage dropped sharply. Same proxy, same internet, different setup. One app, one clean lane — that’s the whole point. Proxy vs VPN, in full →
SOCKS5 for traders, answered
A SOCKS5 proxy routes specific application traffic, such as MT4, MT5, or cTrader, directly through an optimised server without the encryption overhead of a full VPN. Only the trading terminal uses the proxy; everything else stays on your normal connection.
For trading, usually yes. A VPN tunnels all system traffic through one encrypted pipe, adding latency and jitter from background apps. SOCKS5 routes only your trading terminal through a clean path, so your small order packet is not queued behind downloads, streams, or system updates.
In MT4, go to Tools, then Options, then the Server tab, enable the proxy server, select SOCKS5, and enter the proxy address, port, username, and password from your portal. In MT5 the process is the same. Restart the terminal after saving. Full setup guide →
SOCKS5 itself does not add encryption, and that is by design. Your MT4 or MT5 connection to the broker already uses the broker’s own SSL/TLS encryption. Adding another layer, as a VPN does, creates unnecessary overhead and can increase jitter. SOCKS5 keeps the path clean.
Your broker sees a data-centre IP address instead of your home IP, which looks the same as a trader using a VPS and is standard practice. Some prop firms have specific IP policies, so always check your firm’s terms before connecting.
Click BUY and watch the fill happen at the price on your screen.
No slippage from a crowded pipe, no wondering if your connection cost you the trade. That’s what a private, jitter-controlled lane feels like. Four fields, 60 seconds, and your next trade rides a cleaner route.
