01 · The test

Three steps give you two numbers you can fairly compare.

Run the same test twice to see how your platform connects and loads live prices without us and with us. Keeping your machine, network, and broker constant gives you an objective comparison. Run both tests during an active trading session when real volatility hits.

    Close your platform completely
    Start from a closed platform each time, so both timings start from the same place.
  2. 02
    Time it without us
    Start the timer as you open your platform. Stop it when prices move in Market Watch or in your terminal price feed.
  3. 03
    Time it again with us
    Paste the four values from your dashboard into your proxy settings and close the terminal. Time the launch again on the same computer and network. Keeping the setup identical isolates the real difference.

What your two numbers mean

Same time
If startup takes the same time on a calm day, you do not need us for launch speed. If you experience reconnects or frozen price feeds during high-impact news releases, compare two demo accounts in an active session.
Quicker with us
If it connects faster through our server, weigh that difference against the cost of a plan, from $9 a month.
Slower with us
If it connects slower through our server, this test shows no advantage for your setup. Stop renewal any time in your dashboard and retain full access through your paid period.

Differences under one second count as identical because manual stopwatch timing cannot measure smaller gaps.

This test measures connection setup and initial price feed arrival rather than order execution speed. Manual timers cannot measure trade execution. Treat your result as an objective check on platform connectivity.

Each trading platform determines which internal network requests follow its proxy configuration. If your broker prohibits proxies, do not use one.

02 · What it can show

Your two numbers show one connection, not your ping.

Your two numbers show connection startup time rather than network ping. They also cannot predict how an order fills. The three facts below explain where an order loses time and what our server changes.

  1. 01

    Your broker’s distance sets a minimum time for every order

    Light in a cable travels about 200 km every millisecond. Your order goes there and back, so every 1,000 km adds at least 10 ms.

  2. 02

    One lost piece of data makes everything wait

    When a packet drops, your platform pauses while requesting a retransmission across the full distance. Consecutive drops double this waiting penalty. Incoming price ticks stall during the exact seconds volatility peaks.

    Our server in your broker’s city recovers lost data locally

    Our server in your broker’s city opens the final connection to your broker. On a quiet connection, a repeat loss doesn’t double the wait.

Try your own distance

Singapore to London is about 10,850 km in a straight line, so at least 108 ms there and back. No order can reach your broker and hear back in less. Real routes are longer.

We don’t promise lower ping because distance sets the minimum. Local recovery in your broker’s city covers only the connection between our server and your broker. The repeat-loss fix covers the first few tries on a quiet connection, after the first repeat try.

03 · Why now

A test during high-volume sessions reveals the most.

Compare two demo accounts during active volatility.

Once a connection drops with live positions open, you cannot troubleshoot routing. Run one demo account direct and one through our server during an active market open. Observe which feed freezes or drops packets while your capital remains safe.

A refund if it can’t connect.

If your platform can’t connect through us and support can’t fix it, we refund your first payment within 7 days on a monthly plan, or 14 days on a yearly plan or Founder 50. This doesn’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Stop renewal any time in your dashboard.

You install nothing.

Four values and a separate trading password go in your platform’s proxy setting. Your dashboard shows your connected devices, your data use and how busy our server is, live.

MetaTrader 4 & 5Not a proxy problem

'Old tick' lines in the Journal

“No, it's wrong. EAs don't stop operation when an "OLD TICK" comes. "OLD TICKs" are filtered out and logged in just for information.”

Why a proxy does not change this. Traders Proxy changes the route your platform uses to reach your broker. It doesn't change quotes, fills or what your Journal says.

Where it stops. MetaQuotes staff confirm that Old tick journal entries are filtered out by the terminal and logged for information only.

MetaTrader 4 & 5Reduces one factor

'Ping failed' and drops with disconnects every few minutes, re-login loops and dropped sessions

What our system reduces. If your device drops off, our server notices quickly and frees its place, so your platform can reconnect instead of hanging.

Where it stops. We do not prevent internet drops or fix broker faults. After a disconnect, your platform logs in again, so always use broker-side stop-loss orders.

cTraderNot a proxy problem

Home Wi-Fi, router or modem drops that only cTrader seems to show

Why a proxy does not change this. Traders Proxy can't fix your own Wi-Fi.

Where it stops. The 'dead connections found fast' row covers our server's side only. Never present it as a cure for Wi-Fi drops.

MetaTrader 4 & 5Not a proxy problem

MT5's own Proxy box overwrites, empties or refuses to save what you type

“This is a bug of MT5 - because if you enter proxy in the system and EVEN if it is off, it will always force you to use the proxy entered there.”

Why a proxy does not change this. We change nothing on your computer. The server, login and password go into your platform's own Proxy setting.

Where it stops. We change nothing on your computer. If a MetaTrader 5 build fails to save its proxy dialog, we cannot repair the terminal window itself.

Why a proxy does not change this. Traders Proxy doesn't change spreads, fills or requotes.

Where it stops. Off quotes, Requote and order timeouts are decided by your broker’s server, not by the proxy route.

A country or ISP blocks MQL5 / forex sites (Pakistan thread is about the website, not the trade link)

Why a proxy does not change this. No claim. We don't promise access where a country or network provider blocks a service.

Where it stops. We don't help you reach websites, and some places restrict offshore trading altogether. Check your local rules.
